M.Sc. Psychology

The Master of Science in Psychology is a comprehensive, two-year postgraduate programme designed to provide an in-depth understanding of human behaviour through scientific, theoretical, and applied perspectives. Offered under the Faculty of Science, the programme follows an outcome-based approach that emphasizes both academic excellence and professional competence.

Students are introduced to the core domains of psychology including cognitive processes, personality theories, psychopathology, psychometrics, neuropsychology, and counselling. The curriculum integrates theoretical instruction, laboratory training, field work, and research, enabling students to develop critical analytical and problem-solving skills.
With elective specializations in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, and Organizational Behaviour, the programme prepares learners for diverse professional roles—ranging from mental health practice and educational consultancy to human resource management and research. By the end of the programme, graduates are equipped to engage in evidence-based practice, lifelong learning, and socially responsive psychological services, or to pursue advanced doctoral research in specialized areas of psychology.
