Faculty Profile
Department Of Enviornmental Science
Dr. Vandana Kumari Gupta
Asst.Professor

An enthusiastic, adaptive, and fast-learning person with a broad and acute interest in the field of marine biogeochemistry, I particularly enjoy collaborating with scientists from different disciplines to develop new skills and solve new challenges related to climate studies. I have completed my and doctoral and masters in Marine Science from University of Calcutta. The doctoral research was on “Distribution of benthic foraminifera and their environmental significance in the Indian Sundarbans mangrove ecosystem” from University of Calcutta in collaboration of Indian Institute of Science and Research Kolkata. During my Ph.D. I have been awarded National and International awards from DST and Cushman Foundation of Foraminifera Research, USA. Regarding the research work have successfully completed two projects entitled.I have been enrolled as teaching assistant for special paper of marine biology for post graduate students in Department of Marine Science, University of Calcutta from year 2017 till 2020.
