The Department of Environmental Studies at SH East Campus is pleased to invite you to a seminar on “Plastic Abuse on Oceans & Vagaries of Monsoon: Role of Oceans and Eco-Friendly Alternatives” on July 4, 2023.
We are honored to have Dr. M.R. Ramesh Kumar, Chief Scientist (retired) and Head of the Physical Oceanography Department at the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) in Goa, as our distinguished resource person. Dr. Kumar will share his extensive expertise and insights on the impact of plastic on our oceans and the monsoon cycle, highlighting the critical role of oceans in maintaining environmental balance.
The seminar aims to create awareness about the adverse effects of plastic pollution and the importance of adopting eco-friendly alternatives. Dr. Kumar will also discuss potential solutions and strategies to mitigate the plastic crisis.
