Aquilae, the annual intramural festival of East Campus, unfolded its vibrant celebrations this year from 3 to 6 January 2024. Officially inaugurated on 4 January by the college manager, Rev. Dr. Varghese Kachappilly CMI, the four-day extravaganza featured spirited competitions across 20 events, fostering a sense of camaraderie among UG/PG batches. Notably, the BA English batch emerged as the overall champions for the third time in a row, with BSc Psychology securing the runners-up position.
Beyond the excitement of competitions, Aquilae has proven instrumental in honing students’ leadership and management skills. The festival serves as a platform for participants to engage in collaborative efforts, strategic planning, and effective execution, contributing to their overall personal and professional development. The festival also had generous sponsorships from big names like Donut Factory, Miles Education, Masaco Global, Moon Dairy, ISDC, Northstar Academy, Alpha and Omega Computers, and more.
The renowned cine artists and dancers Ramzan Mohammed and Dilsha Prasannan graced the closing day function as chief guests. The event reached its crescendo with a captivating live performance by the popular all-women band “Taarana,” infusing an extra layer of vibrancy into the occasion.
