B.Com (Hons.) Finance and Taxation

Finance and Taxation program combines fundamental business knowledge with advanced expertise in financial management and taxation. The curriculum is focused on Direct and Indirect tax laws, Tax assessment and Planning, Financial Management, Financial Markets and Services, Portfolio Management etc. This course is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, financial planning, corporate finance, and tax laws, preparing them for careers in financial services, accounting, taxation, and related fields.

Graduates of a Finance and Taxation are well-equipped for various roles in the finance and taxation sectors. Potential career paths include Financial Analyst, Tax Consultant/Advisor, Tax Manager, Investment Banker, Corporate Finance Manager, Accountant (Specializing in Taxation), Risk Manager, Financial Planner, Tax Auditor etc. This degree also provides a robust foundation for pursuing professional certifications such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA),It also prepares students for further studies like a Master of Commerce (M. Com) or an MBA with a focus on finance or taxation.
